Verse of the day - Jonah 3:10 (NRSV)
When God saw what they did, how they turned from their evil ways, God changed his mind about the calamity that he had said he would bring upon them; and he did not do it.
In chapter 2 of my fifth book, Jesus speaks to us about changing our hearts.
Excerpt from Pathway To Christ
I desire My dear children to repent of their sins, just as they did in Nineveh. I desire no harm to come upon anyone. I love you so much! Change your hearts dear children, before it is too late! Open your heart wide and receive Me into your life. I am always waiting for My dear children with open arms. I will refuse no one! Come, follow Me, not the ways of the world. I am The Way, The Truth, and The Life. The only way to Heaven is through Me. Walk on the narrow path that leads to eternal life with Me. I desire no one to be left behind when this world ends. Come with repentant hearts. When someone repents, their lives are changed forever. Be not afraid to stand out from the crowd. Many of My dear children are afraid to follow Me due to a fear of what other people may think or say. Please be bold in your faith and do as I ask.
Jonah was called by God to go to the city of Nineveh. He was to warn the people that God was going to destroy their city due to their evil ways. The people who lived in Nineveh believed God and repented. They proclaimed a fast and everyone put on sackcloth. Sackcloth was worn to express repentance for sins. When God saw that they were repentant, He changed His mind and did not destroy the city. Just as the people of Nineveh repented of their ways, God desires us to do the same.
