Verse of the day - Matthew 6:10 (NRSV)
Your kingdom come. Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
In chapter 3 of my fourth book, Jesus speaks to us about being obedient to His Will.
Excerpt from Called By God.
I call My dear children to be obedient to My Will. I desire greatly for My dear children to do as I ask. When I ask something of My dear children, I desire that they be obedient and listen to My voice. Sometimes what I ask of you will be simple everyday tasks. At other times, what I ask of you will be difficult to do. I ask that everything would be done according to the words that were spoken to you by Me. As difficult as this may be at times, what is being asked of you is according to My Holy Will for you in this life.
Many times in life we will have our faith tested. This was the case for Abraham. Abraham was a man of great faith and was put to the test by God. He was told by God to offer up his only son Isaac, whom he loved dearly, as a burnt offering. As hard as this was for Abraham, he put his faith in God and prepared to sacrifice his son. Just as Abraham was getting ready to sacrifice his son on the altar, an angel from God called out to Abraham and told him not to do it. God then provided a ram, caught by its horns to take the place of Isaac. Even though we will have our faith tested from time to time, God still desires us to be obedient to what He asks us to do.
