Verse of the day - Ecclesiastes 7:9 (NRSV)
Do not be quick to anger, for anger lodges in the bosom of fools.
In chapter 5 of my first book, Jesus speaks to us about anger.
Excerpt from Spirituality, A Journey For My Soul
Becoming angry is a natural human emotion that I instilled into you. It's okay to become angry from time to time, but you must not hold on to that anger. You need to release it to Me and move on. By reliving the thing that made you angry, it only causes you harm. It is also sinful. This happens when you want to take revenge on someone for hurting you. It may be a physical or emotional hurt that you experienced, but you need to turn everything over to Me and then let go.
We all become angry from time to time. Even Jesus became angry with the money changers who were in the temple. When our anger turns into rage and we desire to take revenge on someone that has done us wrong, it is then considered to be wrath. Revenge does no good. It only hurts us spiritually. Jesus said we are to do unto others as we with others to do unto us. When someone does something to make us angry, we should turn the other cheek. Instead of taking revenge on that person, we should pray for them. By turning everything over to God, we will be able to find peace.
