Verse of the day - Luke 22:19 (NRSV)
Then he took a loaf of bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to them, saying, 'This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.'
In chapter 11 of my second book, Jesus speaks to us about the His true presence in the Eucharist.
Excerpt from Come Back To Me
There are many among you who do not yet believe in the true presence of My Body in the Eucharist. This hurts Me deeply. It is My desire that everyone comes to believe that I am truly present. I desire to become one with you. When you become one with Me, you will begin to act more like Me. You will become more loving. Be not afraid to stand up for your faith. Anytime you begin to doubt, come to Me through the Eucharist. I will restore your life. Have faith in Me, not in mankind. Other humans may have good intentions but only I know your situation inside and out. Come into My loving presence. I am always present in the Holy Eucharist, but I am also present in the Tabernacle. Come before the Tabernacle and offer Me the sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving.
Many times, while on earth, we as humans desire to have much food. With this food, Jesus said that we will still be hungry. This type of food does not last. The type of food that we should desire is the food from Heaven. Jesus is the Bread of Life. He was sent to earth by His Father in Heaven so that everyone may achieve eternal life. When we consume the Holy Eucharist, we are taking Jesus into our heart. He comes to us in the form of the Eucharist so that He can remain with us until the end of time. Each time we take Jesus into our heart through the Eucharist, we become more and like our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
