Verses of the day - John 13:34-35 (NRSV)
I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.
In chapter 6 of my third book, Jesus speaks to us about laying our burdens down.
Excerpt from Come To The Cross
Nobody knows the types of crosses another person carries. By loving your neighbor as yourself, many times the burdens of their life can be relieved. I ask My dear children to help one another on their journey through life. Love one another as I have loved you. Be there for one another as I have also been there for you. I am always here for all My beloved children. Come to the cross and lay your burdens down. I love you and you are Mine. Come and receive My love.
In life we face many trials. We never know what type of burden another person carries with them through this life. Jesus has asked us to love our neighbor as ourselves. Our neighbor is not only the person who lives next door to us. Our neighbor is everyone we meet throughout the day. If we are loving and kind to one another, we never know what type of impact we will have on someone else's life. By being there for one another in both good times and bad, we can make life better.
