Live In The Present Day Only

Verses of the day - Exodus 3:13-14 (NRSV)

But Moses said to God, 'If I come to the Israelites and say to them, "The God of your ancestors has sent me to you", and they ask me, "What is his name?" what shall I say to them?'  God said to Moses, 'I AM WHO I AM.' He said further, "Thus you shall say to the Israelities, "I AM sent me to you.'

In chapter 8 of my first book, Jesus speaks to us about living in the present day only.

Live only in the present day.  This is what I desire.  When you live in the moment, life becomes easier because I walk beside you every day.  By living one day at a time you will find freedom.  Leave the past behind.  When you live in the past and think about what will happen in the future, it is scary because I am not there.  If you dwell on the past it will only bring you harm.  Many times My dear children live in fear of the future.  Do not fear what may happen in the future.  Live in the present day only because that is where I am always.  I walk beside you everyday.

When we live in the present and take one day at a time, we will be able to find great happiness.  By living in the present, God will be able to hold us close to Him.  He walks with us every day of our life.  The more often we release everything over to God and live one day at a time, the closer we will become to Jesus.  I know from personal experience how much better I feel when I live life day to day.  On the days I am thinking about things that have happened in the past or what could possibly happen in the future, I am not at peace.  Let us go forth in peace and try to live life one day at a time while walking with Jesus hand in hand.
