Bringing The Lost Sheep Of The World Back

 September 4, 2024

Verses of the day -  Matthew 18:12-14  (NRSV)

What do you think? If a shepherd has a hundred sheep, and one of them has gone astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine on the mountains and go in search of the one that went astray?  And if he finds it, truly I tell you, he rejoices over it more than over the ninety-nine that never went astray.  so it is not the will of your Father in heaven that one of these little ones should be lost.

In chapter 12 of my second book, Jesus speaks to us about the lost sheep of the world back to Him.

Excerpt from Come Back To Me

As disciples, this is what you are called to do.  Go out to all the world and proclaim the Good News of Salvation.  Bring the lost sheep of this world back to Me.  I always welcome the lost with open arms.  Come and become one with Me.  I love you with an everlasting love.  Come to Me and receive My great love for you.  Be at peace.

We are the lost sheep that Jesus speaks about.  Sometimes during our lives, we all go astray like lost sheep. It is then that Jesus will send someone into our lives to help lead us back to Him.  There is a popular picture of Jesus looking for the lost sheep.  If we stray from the path that leads to Christ, He will come looking for us.  He loves us so much that He is willing to leave the ninety-nine sheep that never went astray to come looking for us.  He desires no one to be lost. If we see someone who has strayed away from Christ, Jesus desires us to help lead them back to His Fold.
