Verse of the day - Matthew 6:12 (NRSV)
And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.
In chapter 7 of my first book, Jesus speaks to us about becoming reconciled with one another.
Excerpt from Spirituality, A Journey For My Soul
Not only does everyone need to be reconciled with Me, but also with each other. Reconciling with one another is not easy. When someone has hurt you deeply, ask Me for the grace to carry on. With My help, anything can be forgiven by you. I died to save all people from their sins. As hard as it was, I forgave the people who crucified Me. Without the forgiveness of other people, life would become burdensome. They are free to do what they want, but the burden remains on your shoulders until the wrong they have done is forgiven. Once they are completely forgiven by you, there will be great joy. A weight will be lifted off of your shoulders. This can only be done through My help.
Jesus forgave His accusers and those who crucified Him as an example for us to live by. Forgiving others who have hurt us deeply is hard to do. It is only through the help of God that we will be able to forgive one another for the things which have hurt us deeply. Once we have truly forgiven one another of the offenses which have hurt us, we will feel a great sense of peace and joy.
