Be Strong In Your Faith

 July 2, 2024

Verse of the day - Psalm 32:1 (NRSV)

Happy are those whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.

In chapter 6 of my first book, Jesus speaks to us about being strong in our faith.

Excerpt from Spirituality, A Journey For My Soul

Take control, be strong in your faith, and know that you are forgiven.  Allow My Precious Blood to flow over you and heal you of all your transgressions.  By doing this, you will find overwhelming joy and freedom.  You will see life in a new light.  Everything will become brighter and no matter what happens in your life, nothing will be able to get you down.

There is indeed great joy when our sins are forgiven.  This was only made possible through the Blood of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.  It was through the Blood that Jesus shed on the cross that frees us from the condemnation of our sins.  We need to take advantage of the opportunities we have to confess our sins.  It is through the Blood of our Loving Father in Heaven that we are forgiven.

I understand the power of forgiveness that comes through the sacrament of Reconciliation.  One Wednesday morning I got up for the day.  I was in my living room when I heard the words, "You need to go to confession today." I thought okay and then I thought about waiting.  I then heard, "NO! You cannot wait! You have to go today." I had no idea why but I then said okay and went.  That day when I walked out of the confessional after having received forgiveness through the sacrament of Reconciliation, I felt a tremendous peace that I had never felt before.  Later that day, I heard the words, "Since you listened, you are going to be really sore from an accident but everyone will be okay."  Three days later someone pulled out in front of us and we totaled our car.  It is only by the grace of God that I am still here today!
