Verse of the day - Matthew 5:46 (NRSV)
For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax-collectors do the same?
In chapter 4 of my fourth book, Jesus speaks to us about loving everyone, even our enemies.
Excerpt from Called By God
I call My dear children to love everyone you meet. It is easy to love those who love you, but I ask you to love even those who hurt you. Many times, the people who hurt you have been hurt themselves. They do not know what it feels like to be loved. Reach out to them in love so that they too may feel My love through you. Many times, if those who My dear children consider enemies receive love from someone, they will have their hearts opened. If someone hurts you deeply, turn everything over to Me and pray for them. Many times, through your prayers, they will have a change of heart. They will become more open to receiving My love and you will gain a sense of peace. I desire all My dear children to live in peace, even during hard times. I will be with you always. Be not afraid to take My hand. I will lead the way and show you how to love as I love.
It is hard to love those who hurt us, but this is what Jesus desires us to do. If we love one another as Jesus loves us, hearts will be softened. With love, anything is possible. If we do not know how to love someone who has hurt us deeply, we can say a prayer and Jesus who hears our prayers, will help us. He will lead us in the right direction so that we will know what He desires us to say or do. Many times, the people who have hurt us deeply have been hurt by someone else. They have not had anyone to love them. If we reach out to them in love, many times their eyes will be opened to the love of Jesus.
