Verse of the day - Deuteronomy 4:31 (NRSV)
Because the LORD your God is a merciful God, he will neither abandon you nor destroy you; he will not forget the covenant with your ancestors that he swore to them.
In Chapter 2 of my third book Jesus speaks to us about His Mercy.
Excerpt from Come To The Cross
Many times, My dear children are judgmental of one another. I ask that you refrain from this. I desire that you show mercy to everyone. Everyone makes mistakes and you are all dear to Me. You are all brothers and sisters in Christ. As hard as life may be sometimes, I still desire everyone to show mercy to each other. Blessed are you when you show mercy. Mercy will in turn be given to you. Receive it graciously. Be thankful for the gifts I give to you. The two biggest I have given to this creation was sacrificing Myself on the cross for the sins of the world. The other was giving Myself to My dear children through the Eucharist. Through this gift, I am with you until the end of time. Come and receive My mercy and love.
We all make mistakes but through the great love and mercy of God, we are forgiven. Jesus desires us to be merciful to one another as well. When we show mercy to one another, we are compassionate and forgiving.
