Verses of the day - Exodus 20:2-3 (NRSV)
I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery, you shall have no other gods before me.
Excerpt from second book - Come Back To Me
Jesus said:
In the time of Moses, the Israelites made for themselves the golden calf to worship. They believed that this is what they needed to worship after being released from Egypt. They forgot that it was I who was in their midst. This angered Me greatly. I alone should be worshipped. They did not realize who I was. Even though I was not present in human form at the time, I was present and working through Moses, My servant.
