Verses of the day - Matthew 18:21-22
Then Peter came and said to him, 'Lord, if another member of the church sins against me, how often should I forgive? As many as seven times?' Jesus said to him, 'Not seven times, but, I tell you, seventy-seven times.'
Excerpt from second book - Come Back To Me
Jesus said:
Many times, My dear children turn to one another for help. I am the one that people should turn to. Only I know your situation and everything you have been through. Not only does everyone have someone they need to forgive, but they also need to learn how to forgive themselves. Many times, My dear children do things they regret. They tend to carry these things with them for a great deal of their lives. Learn to let go of things done in the past. When you let go of past mistakes, you will find great peace of mind.
Sometimes we as humans feel as though we have forgiven the person who has offended us. If we have truly forgiven someone from the heart, we will not remember the offense next time we see the person. If we are reminded of what a certain person did to us when we see them again, we have not truly forgiven them. Jesus desires us to continue forgiving the offense until we no longer remember it.
Sometimes we can be our own worst enemies. Sometimes when we make mistakes, we tend to beat ourselves up over it. We relive the past mistakes over and over in our mind. Everyone makes mistakes. When we make a mistake, we need to learn how to forgive ourselves. By not forgiving ourselves, the devil has control over us. When we learn how to forgive ourselves, the devil will lose his grip over us, and we will regain our freedom.
